Mossberg Maverick 88 is a versatile firearm that can configured for many different applications. The Maverick 88 Security Shotgun is built for home defense. With the cylinder bore there is no worry about shooting various loads through a tight choke.The 88 Special Purpose Security models have a 3″ chamber and either an 20″ blued barrel with a fixed cylinder bore and a brass front sight bead barrel set in a rugged black synthetic stock with a ribbed forearm. Dual extractors, twin action bars, positive steel to steel lockup, and an anti-jam elevator provide trouble free operation. An intuitive tang-mounted safety ensures this shotgun can be brought into action with the flick of a thumb.
