CCI 209 primers
cci 209 primers are designed specifically for the Inline Muzzle loading hunter. CCI is constantly testing and improving their primers, which results in primers that are more sensitive, easier to seat, and more compatible with today’s inline muzzle loading rifles. In order to achieve the cleanest burn possible, modern non-corrosive and non-mercuric initiator mixtures are used in these primers.
In addition to the fact that they ( CCI 209 ) are milder than standard 209 shot shell primers, primers designed specifically for muzzle loading rifles have the additional benefit of not forcing the powder charge forward, which helps to maintain consistent velocities and reduce the formation of crud rings. It should be noted that these primers are not intended for use in shot shells; instead, they are intended for use in muzzle loading rifles.
